Ezra Tamminga (1993 - 2018)
The amazing and incredible Ezra Tamminga is with us no more. There is no way to describe him without missing out on something. He was legendary: always genuine, always caring, always ready to live life to it’s fullest. He had a beautiful soul and a heart three sizes too big, touching the lives of so many people with his infectious smile and generous, compassionate spirit.
He will be missed fiercely by all those he leaves behind: his mother Marlen and step-father Bruce, his father Philip and step-mother Eva, brothers and sister, Jhan (and Jenna), Silas, Emma, Mateo, Tristán, Hugo and Bruno, his best friend and companion Taylor, his loving grandmother Luz Marina, a huge extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a cast of thousands of his fans.
He was a true rock star, and he will live on through his music, his love of cooking and the great memories we have of him. His last gig will be this Friday, March 2, at the Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, from 2pm-5pm, where his family and friends will celebrate his extraordinarily intense, but short life. There will be an open mic for people who want to share some of many of the stories that encapsulate his joy for life.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ezra's memory to Coastal Mental Health or Alouette Addictions would be greatly appreciated.
