It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Constance Mary Wilkinson. Connie passed away peacefully on June 16, 2017, shortly after daybreak on a beautiful sunny morning, in her 93rd year, with her loving family by her side. Connie was born on January 30, 1924 in Montreal, Quebec, the eldest of 11 children. After high school, Connie worked for Bel Tel and the Aluminum Company of Canada. In 1948, at the age of 24, she married Harold, the love of her life. They moved to Toronto, Ontario where their two sons, John and Mark were born. In 1954, the moved to British Columbia residing in Maple Ridge where Connie worked at BC Tel until their two daughters, Sandra and Teresa were born. While raising four children, Connie assisted Harold in the operation of their family business. Connie was an avid walker and crossword whiz who also enjoyed camping, fishing, knitting and travelling. Connie has been reunited with husband Harold, son Mark, her parents Lilian and Edgar, brothers Peter, Jimmy, Edward, Edgar and Gerald, sisters June and Gertie. She will be lovingly remembered by son John (Myrna), daughters Sandra (Mike) and Teresa (Bill), daughter-in-law Lynn, grandchildren Chris, Laura, Ryan, Mark, Brooke and Colin, great grandchildren Colton, Marissa, Angelina, Jayden, Rylan, Cali and Mila, sisters Mabel, Mickey and Jeannie, many nieces, nephews and god daughter Lilian.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Patrick's Church in Maple Ridge on July 4, 2017 at 1:30pm. Followed by a reception at St. Patrick's Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to B.C. Children's Hospital.
